I’m becoming something of a resident photographer at Cripps barn, it’s a great venue that has always treated us well (I’ve even written a venue review from a photographers perspective) so it’s always a joy to return!Read more →
‘I was recommended to look at Silverton and as soon as I saw the website I knew they were the photographers I wanted. We chose Will because we wanted our photos to look really natural and fun. He came to us for our pre wedding shoot and impressed us immediately! Especially as he didn’t mind photographing our horses! The shots were just gorgeous and he managed to make a dim dull winter day look just stunning! When he arrived on our wedding day to photo me getting ready you wouldn’t even know he was there and I was especially impressed to see how he made the chaos of that morning look beautiful! The pics from the day were just fab! I loved all the subtle moments he managed to capture that just reminded me of all those special parts of the day that can get forgotten in the hustle and bustle! Professional, friendly and very easy to work with! Delighted thanks so much Will!! ‘

This venue review is written by Will, a Silverton wedding photographer. He is based in Highworth, just 15 miles away from Cripps Barn:
Cripps Barn is one of my favourite venues to document weddings, it’s a very intimate and private place tucked away in the Cotswold countryside.
Cripps caters for both outdoor and indoor ceremonies as well as receptions, which make it a great ‘all in one’ venue.
When the sun is shining there is an idyllic Oak shelter that rests in the glade next to the barn, it’s a lovely open area that makes for atmospheric ceremonies – this also allows a photographer to move freely without being obtrusive or distracting whilst capturing those special moments on the beautiful backdrop of the endless fields – it really is the place for that ‘fairytale’ feel.
Set deep in the Forest of Dean Clearwell Castle is an award winning venue for weddings, it’s easy to see why!
Lyndsey and Tony’s wedding was a fantastic day, the couple were easy going which makes my task of capturing the day ‘as it happens’ all the more enjoyable
– I always say the more fun had both in front of and behind the camera the better the memories!
Here are a few of my favourites from the day.

Weddings are a celebration and as such for me are the prefect time & place to have a bit of fun, three letters that definitely describe Vicky & Sean’s wedding at Cripps Barn.
Cripps is a great little venue which offers the option to have an outdoor ceremony, something the couple had been hoping they could have, what with the great british weather it was becoming a bit touch-and-go, it had been heavily raining for a few days leading up to the big day and the plans were pointing indoors right down to the morning of the wedding!
Fortunately it was beaming with sunshine and the weather was on our side, the go ahead was given to have it outdoors which gave an amazing backdrop to the ceremony. Whilst we shot the formal groups the clouds started to gather, once finished the wedding party moved on inside just as the heavens opened, it was just before the speeches that the rain paused and a great big rainbow appeared – everyone rushed outside and we captured a great memory for them to treasure – here are some of my favourites from the day.
